10th & Wolf (2006)

The military has always been an escape for the country’s poor, an exit from what otherwise could be a dead end. But it’s only a temporary fix, as 10th & Wolf (2006) so dramatically illustrates. When a street tough returns to his Philadelphia neighborhood after his enlistment is over he finds himself back in the same trouble that he left behind. There’s the mob boss and the pull of easy money that sent him into a uniform in the first place. How will it all play out? That you’ll have to see, but what really is worth seeing is the return of Lesley Ann Warren, who has been making an exciting second stage to her career with vampy roles on Will & Grace and Desperate Housewives. It’s here, though, that she really shines, if not with skin then at least with some of the breast cleavage seen onscreen in years.
