Yes, God, Yes (2019)

Do you know why God causes floods and plagues???  It's because we touch ourselves at night, did you know that???  Or so this biting satire would have you think, when it tackles the sexual awakening of a highly religious teenager Alice (Natalia Dyer), who discovers masturbation during that special time in a teenager's life when hormones are flaring up like bottle rockets.  This story takes place in the early 2000s, and begins innocently enough on AOL (Ah, the early days), when Alice stumbles into an explicit online chat room and her naive innocence has her walking backwards into a conversation about "rimjobs" and "being wet" that she isn't prepared to have, causing her to go deeper into the internet... Which is the last place a conservation Catholic high schooler should go for information about sex.  She starts to begin to have new feelings and understanding about her sexuality, which lands her in a summer camp dedicated to Christians pretty much repressing any and all sexual urges they have towards themselves, each others, or AOL chatrooms.  The problem with those sexually repressed teenagers and their summer camps, they are FULL OF SEXUALLY REPRESSED TEENAGERS!  So once she arrives, all the cute boys and their uncontrollable boners stir even more feelings in her.  It's enough to make Baby Jesus cry!  Hopefully by the end these youngins and their hormones listen to their horny feelings instead of their counselors steering them down the path to "salvation".  Along the way though, we get to see Stranger Things star Natalia Dyer fumble her way through a few masturbation scenes, so enjoy and definitely let it stir memorable thoughts of awkward teenage jack-off sessions that you yourself once had!  It'll have you screaming Yes, God, Yes and hopefully not Why, God, Why!
