Working

Acting in his first TV series since The Wonder Years, Fred Savage stars in the creatively titled Working. Savage (who also directed) plays Matt Peyser, a Yale business grad who wants to climb the corporate ladder the old-fashioned way: by working as a secretary. (A secretary? Hello Matt? That usually only works if you’re a chick with big hooters--see Dolly Parton in 9 to 5 for an example). However, the motley group of co-workers at his multinational corporation seems to be more interested in gossiping, backstabbing, and bootlicking their way to the top. Though the show garnered some praise, it met its demise after a poor time slot change and the mid-series replacement of several characters. Two ladies from Working have been known to work it in a film or two. Kate Hodge gave us a hodge-podge of nudity in Desire and Rapid Fire, while Debi Mazar rubbed money all over her mams in Money for Nothing. You’ve never wanted to be a dead president so badly in your life.
