Where's Wanda? (2024)

Carlotta (Heike Makatsch of Love Actually) and Dedo Klatt (Axel Stein) are two parents reeling from the recent disappearance of their seventeen-year-old daughter, Wanda (Lea Drinda). Though the series jumps back and forth between different days since Wanda vanished from their small German town, when we see the couple after months of the police getting nowhere with their investigation, they make the decision to take matters into their own hands and install secret cameras around town to watch their neighbors in the hopes of uncovering Wanda’s whereabouts. Their marriage is already suffering and finding out the truth is a struggle, especially because Carlotta and Dedo handle things in contrasting ways (Dedo is cautious while Carlotta is a bit wilder) - but if there’s a chance that spying on their neighbors and discovering all that they hide could help them find Wanda and maybe fix their marital issues in the process, than that’s what they’re gonna do! Milena Dreißig is one such nearby resident, popping up in some BDSM gear during in a short fantasy sequence that’ll have you asking “Where’s the lube?”
