Way Cool

The show Way Cool may have lived up to its title when it first aired in 1991, but like most teen fads, it quickly went from “Way Cool” to “Who gives a shit?” This teen comedy show must not have been too cool after all, since it warrants nary a footnote in the extensive annals of television history. We do know that it starred Jonathan Galkin, who apparently had a small fan base from his previous work on Hey Dude, which was about the antics of a group of kids working at a dude ranch called “The Bar None.” As far as we can tell, he never worked again--and with show titles like Hey Dude and Way Cool on his resumé, we can see why. However, Way Cool did star oneHeather Gottlieb, a rather cute brunette who set off the Skin-O-Meter in Loving Jezebel and Childhood’s End.
