Biography

Véra Clouzot, born Véra Gibson-Amado in Rio de Janeiro on the next to last day of 1913, is an actress best known for her work with her second husband, French director Henri-Georges Clouzot! Interestingly enough, the two met because he had cast her then-husband Léo Lapara in the film Jenny Lamour (1947), and the two fell madly in love! While she appeared in a number of her husband's films, including Miquette (1950) and most famously Diabolique (1955), though it was in his film The Wages of Fear (1953) that we got a nice peek at Véra's left breast as she bends down in a low cut top! Sadly, Véra passed away of a heart attack in 1960, just two weeks shy of her 47th birthday.
