The Taming of the Shrewd (2022)

Following the smash hit 365 Days, Netflix seems to be funding a lot more content from Poland of late and The Taming of the Shrewd (2022) is the latest such endeavor. The film stars 365 Days' Magdalena Lamparska as Kaska, a scientist so consumed with her work that she hasn't noticed that her husband has been cheating on her. When she finds out, she dumps his ass and moves back to her family farm in the countryside to get away from it all. Her brother Patryk (Piotr Cyrwus) doesn't like to see his sister so down in the dumps so he concocts a scheme to get her to fall in love with a hunky venture capitalist (Mikolaj Roznerski) by hiring him to pretend to want to buy the family farm, when it's actually all just a ruse to get the two together. And in case you were wondering, this is indeed basically a Hallmark movie, they can make those anywhere, not just in America. One thing that makes this better than a Hallmark movie, however, is the topless sex scene from star Magdalena Lamparska! Taming of the Shrewd? More like Taming of the Screwed, amirite?
