The Platform (2019)

A unique and terrifying look at a dystopian future where society can exchange prison time for social status and resources.  This prison is not like doing a stretch up and Sing-Sing though, it is a horrifying vertical prison with a 20'x20' cell, with two prisoners per floor, and they only way they get food or any resources is when The Platform comes through the hole in the center of the room, where they can gorge themselves for only 2 minutes at a time.  If they try to get on the platform, they are either burned or frozen to death.  As the platform rises, the resources become more and more scarce for the prisoners on the higher floors.  When Goreng (Ivan Massagué) volunteers to try and climb the social ladder by submitted to a short period of time in the prison, he awakens to find himself on the 18th floor with the veteran prisoner Trimagasi (Zorion Eguileor), who shows him how to survive when the platform comes to their level and how to maybe move on when the restaurant stops sending food from the ground floor...  It's a deeply disturbing movie involving cannibalism, rotting food, people fighting for survival, and a eerie setting that will only make you cringe when they begin to climb levels to make it out of there!  In this Sci-fi tale we do get some mild nudity from the lovely Alexandra Masangkay who shows her boobs in a dream sequence to the lead, all the while she is in fact a feral cannibal woman in real life.  Also, Antonia San Juan shows her grotesque chest off to the lead dude when he asks her what to expect moving up the ladder...  She's got some bad bed sores all over her rack.  All in all, this is a unique flick to say the least, so definitely give it a watch and maybe a tug when you see Alexandra work her way into that dream sequence!
