An exceedingly non-descript Fox sitcom from 2002, and one that lasted a mere seven episodes, The Grubbs focused on young Mitch Grubb. Mitch is only the most recent inheritor of the Grubb Family Line of Underachievement, but instead of trying to rise above such a designation, Mitch turns to his equally unlucky father (Randy Quaid) for tips on how to coast through life with very little effort. And “very little effort” was made by the viewers, as the series sunk like a mid-season stone. Still, it’s always cool to get a visit from the bizarrely beautiful Carol Kane, plus the lovely Lori Rom offered a few curvaceous contributions. The show was lucky to have ladies like these around, because with a title like The Grubbs, you’re gonna need all the help you can get.
