Stage Mother (2020)

Stage Mother (2020) is a comedy about a church choir director who loses her son. After he passes away, he bequeaths unto her his drag night club in San Francisco. Now she is torn! Should she respect her son's wishes and run the club? Should she be a faithful choir director and keep this hidden from her church? Should we close the club down? As she wrestles with what to do, she starts to hang out at the club and meet the queens which changes her mind on the entire matter and starts to allow her to get to know her late son in ways she never thought she could. The drag queen experience changes her life and starts to make her become a lot more comfortable in her own skin. It turns out that that is what the art of drag is all about in the first place. This is a heartwarming comedy that is filled with stars and great characters. Fun fact: the film was actually shot in Canada, not San Francisco. But that doesn't take away from the beautiful scenery...and the even more beautiful babes in the movie. Lucy Liu plays Sienna who winds up walking around in one scene with a tight black dress on. Well, the dress is not ALL the way on over her red bra. This leaves on red-clad-bra boob out. It's not her bare boob, but this is a sexy tease that shows us some of Lucy's cleavage. Too bad we'd have to drag it out of her!
