Shelly Horner has only been in one movie, which goes by two names, but sadly, that doesn’t mean it’s double the exposure. Instead, it means we can see her not naked in Summer School (1978) or Mag Wheels, your choice, though you should know the kid's are all in regular school throughout the movie, so one of the name's makes no sense. By the way, a mag wheel is a light-alloy wheel made out of magnesium, which most often had a cool spoke pattern. Just so you know. The movie is about a cool guy who drives a van, because apparently custom vans were super cool in the seventies, that falls for the new girl in town. His girlfriend isn't happy about that, so she tells the cop's the new girl's a drug dealer and hijinks ensue. It's chock full of everything we expect from a hot sexploitation flick: girls in bikinis, girls rollerskating, girls in custom vans and pickup trucks, girls in drive-in restaurants and, well, you get the picture. And of course, you'd better believe there's all sorts of "is this van's a rockin" jokes, too. Shelly is pretty as a picture, regardless of how much clothing she is or isn’t wearing. Unfortunately, all we get to see from Miss Horner is a bit of belly and some arm-bra while she's getting assaulted, and a look at her in a wet tee shirt while she's horsing around in a stream with a lucky fella. Largely forgotten these days, one of the more interesting things about it is that some of the Z Boys are seen skateboarding in the film. Shelly quit acting after this one, and these days she's a marriage and family counselor who works pretty close to where the film was shot in the San Fernando Valley. Still, with just one film Shelly Horner will turn you into a hornball!
