Shein Mompremier managed to stay mostly in Florida for the first few years of her career as an actress, a state she’s most familiar with, having grown up in Miami. She eventually settled in Los Angeles, where Hollywood’s true heart is, but not before taking on roles as Davi in the series Grown (2018) (set in and filmed in Miami), Melody in the TV movie Swiped (2018) (filmed in Palm Beach), and Monica in the horror flick Scare BNB (2019) (shot in Miami Beach). The sexy siren, a graduate of the University of Florida, where she majored in psychology and minored in theater, shifted a few states to take on a part as Chenoa in the primetime superhero series Black Lightning in 2018, where she also showed off her fine form in an intimate situation with a fellow female—it’s as much skin as you can get while watching The CW. For her starring role as Jessica Byrnes in the Ion network TV movie A Christmas Princess, she went all the way to New York. It must have been too cold up there, it being Christmas and winter and all, because the star returned to Florida to take on the title role of Ludi in the movie Ludi (2021), an indie flick about a woman living in Miami’s Little Haiti neighborhood. Shein herself is Haitian-American, so the film was near and dear, and won her three Best Actress awards from various film festivals. The daughter of a preacher, Shein stands at five feet and nine inches, a bonus for her role as Amanda Mosley in the 2022 basketball series Long Slow Exhale.
