Saint Ralph (2004)

In Saint Ralph (2004), director Michael McGowan chronicles a gawky ninth grader’s ambitious efforts to finish first in the Boston Marathon. Adam Butcher plays the irrepressible Ralph Walker, a Canadian teen raised by a gravely ill widow. An unlikely star on his school’s cross-country team, Walker comes to believe that a “miracle” victory in one of the world’s biggest races will help cure his beloved mom. The scrawny ninth grader’s got a lot of training to get through if he’s going to have a shot at victory, but he does take some time out to indulge in some typical teen activities. Thankfully these include scoping the sinfully hot Lubica Kucerova as she showers at the local pool.
