Simple put, Ryôko Shinohara, is a smoke show and has been since her early days as a singer! Born in Gunma, Japan in 1973, the randy Ryôko has been in the fame game since the late 80s, which might come as a surprise because she still looks about 25 years old! After a few smaller roles on TV, she landed a hit song and became best known for the single "Itoshisa to Setsunasa to Kokoro Zuyosa to" in 1994, which made her a household name in Japan. Since then though, she has been frequently referred to as the TV Drama Queen of Japan, with her endless string of hit series. She played Detective Natsumi on Unfair, a popular series that spawned a few movies too, and she even went on to win a couple Japan Academy Film Prizes with Sakura Guardian in the North (2018) and The House Where the Mermaid Sleeps (2018).
