An aspiring actress experiences a bumpy introduction to Tinseltown in the blissfully descriptive Over 18... and Ready! (1969). Directed by sexploitation staple Lloyd Allen, the cult nugget stars Mary McRea as Lyn, a buxom secretary tired of spending her twenties tapping away at a typewriter. Because her boss is a major player in the film industry, Lyn convinces him to include her in one of his upcoming shoots. The muck-loving mogul figures Lyn will be perfect in one of his smut projects and adds her to the cast list, where her initiation into the film world begins. Now boffing her way up to top billing, Lyn learns the hard way that sex and money determine success behind and in front of the camera. Watching McRea’s bouncing treasures in B&W should be enough for any grindhouse connoisseur, but it gets even better when gal pals Michelle LeGrande and Margo Stevens drop their tops to get in on the fun.
