Late April has recently become a blockbuster breeding ground, but it's normally a time for indie flicks that distributors hope will catch on and go into wider release throughout the summer. This week, we've got two no doubt first round Skin Hall of Fame flicks—both releasedin 1983—along with some under-seen flicks with great nudity all released on April 29 in Movie Nudity History!

2016: Papa: Hemingway in Cuba

Ladies love getting wet when Ernest Hemingway's involved! This biopic of the beloved author's time spent in Cuba in the 50s features two terrific nude scenes, both of them involving water! We meet Joely Richardson just 19 minutes in, getting out of a pool after a skinny dip and showing off TA while Giovanni Ribisi acts sheepishly...

Just five minutes later, Minka Kelly gets in on the skinny dipping action five minutes later, baring her buns while running into the ocean alongside Ribisi...

2011: The Robber

This Austrian crime thriller was released in its native country in late 2010, but finally made its way Stateside on this day nine years ago. Based on the true story of a marathon runner who decided to use his natural abilities to become a bank robber, able to make fast getaways. Thankfully this smooth criminal is able to put the brakes on long enough to get busy with Franziska Weisz at the 32 minute mark...

Thirty minutes or so later, we get a nice look at Franziska hanging out braless in a white tank top. Don't let the film's box cover, which makes it look like a rip-off of 2010's The Town, scare you off. It's worth checking out for sure...

1988: Critters 2: The Main Course

Of all the Gremlins rip-offs of the mid-to-late 80s, the Critters franchise has proven itself to be one of the most surprisingly resilient of them all. While this isn't the one that features Leonardo DiCaprio's film debut—that's 1991's Critters 3: You Are What They Eat—thisfirst sequel does have a decent pedigree, being directed by Mick Garris, who co-wrote the screenplay with future Pitch Black mastermind David Twohy. The film is a mostly forgettable effort, save some hilarious practical creatureeffects and oneof thebest PG-13 nude scenes of the late 80s!

Roxanne Kernohan and Terrence Mann play the earthly manifestations of two shape-shifting intergalactic bounty hunters, though sadly Roxanne's not long for this Critters-infested world, but when she takes her earthly form, she gives us a nice long look at her sizable breasts...

1983: The Hunger

The following is excerpted from our SKIN-depth Look at the Sex and Nudity of Tony Scott's Films...

Erotic vampire lovers rejoice as Scott's directorial debut might just be the sexiest and best movie in that burgeoning subgenre.Catherine Deneuveand David Bowie star as ancient vampiric lovers who currently reside in New York City and subsist on random people they encounter in the city's nightlife scene like the poor, ill-fatedAnn Magnuson...

Suddenly, and without explanation, Bowie's vampire begins suffering from insomnia, coupled with rapid aging, causing the couple to seek out Dr. Sarah Roberts (Susan Sarandon), a renowned specialist—conveniently enough—in both aging and sleep disorders. Thus begins a love triangle that culminates in Sarandon and Deneuve having a skinsational sapphic encounter at the 59 minute mark, though Deneuve employed a body double for her nudity...

During the encounter, Deneuve bites Sarandon's arm, but Sarandon is repulsed by the notion of becoming a bloodsucker herself. The Hungerwas perhaps the last major piece of vampire fiction created before public awareness of the AIDS crisis, which obviously tinged any subsequent talesadhering to the lore. For example, just two years later,Fright Nightleaned heavily into the AIDS panic. That alone is enough to make the film a time capsule of a particular place in time. Also of note, Scott directed two episodes of theshort-lived television adaptation of the film on Showtime, an anthology series hosted in the first season by Terence Stamp, and by Bowie in season two!

1983: Valley Girl

One of the definitive comedies of the 1980s, Valley Girl is about to be remade as a musical, though it's looking more and more like a family friendly version of the film. Martha Coolidge's 1983 saga is anything but family friendly, as the film's titular gals fromSherman Oaks, Van Nuys, and Tarzana cruise around their natural habitat looking for a good time! While the film's main VG, Deborah Foreman, doesn't go nude in the flick, plenty of her VG buddies do!

Elizabeth Daily—who would go on to great acclaim as a voice actress providing the voice for, among others,Tommy Pickles on Rugrats—did her final nude scene to date in this flick, going topless in bed with Michael Bowen's philandering jerk Tommy twice at the 15 and 18 minute marks...

Tina Theberge also briefly bares her breasts while hooking up with Nicolas Cage...

Also of note is that this flick contains the one and only nude appearance on screen of Melanie Meyrink! Melanie would go on to make a big splash as Judyin the following year's Revenge of the Nerds and Jordan in director Martha Coolidge's next filmReal Genius, before leaving acting behind in the 1990s. Here she goes briefly topless during a dimly lit sex scene and shows full frontal while taking a shower...

1970: A Man Called Horse

Finally, on this day 50 years ago, the late, great Richard Harris starred as an English aristocrat kidnapped by a tribe of Sioux, who eventually induct him into their ranks, dubbing himShunkawakan, the Sioux word for Horse, hence the film's title! After he has been initiated into the tribe, he gets frisky with Running Deer, played by Corinna Tsopei, who bares TA in two tantalizing nude scenes...
