A gumshoe on the police force finds himself in hot water while trying to infiltrate an auto-theft ring in the taut ’80s action thriller No Man's Land (1987). D.B. Sweeney stars as Benjy Taylor, a rookie cop who’s assigned to buddy up with car thief Ted Varrick (Charlie Sheen) in an effort to slip the cuffs on him. Unfortunately Taylor gets one taste of the outlaw lifestyle and doesn’t want to leave––the high-octane racing and gangster molls (notably Lara Harris) prove too irresistible to betray. It’s probably not a very bright move from a career standpoint, but it’s certainly forgivable; one look at Harris unbuttoning her blouse is enough to send even the straightest guy over to the wrong side of the law.
