Famous Italian porn star Moana Pozzi has her short life dramatized in the mini-series Moana (2009). Moana (Violante Placido) grew up in a middle class family and started working as a model and actress in Rome when she was 19. Her beauty and ambition captured the eye of many influential people, including her lover, Bettino Craxi, the Prime Minister of Italy. She shot her first hardcore movie with the understanding it would not be released in Italy while she was working on a popular children’s show, a role she had obtained thanks to the Prime Minister's influence. Of course a scandal ensued, but Moana used the fame to launch a successful career and enjoyed great popularity until her death from cancer at age 33.It wouldn’t be a series about a porn star without some skin, and Violante Placido delivers as the TITular star.  Her bare pink-tipped peaks point upwards towards heaven as she uses her assets to climb to the top.
