Susan Dey played Wallis Porter in this comedy about a woman running a bar and grill in downtown Chicago while maintaining an on-again, off-again romance with an egomaniacal sports writer. In addition, she had to deal with a neurotic waitress who was impatiently waiting for her husband to get out of prison. If this sounds a bit like a ripoff of Cheers, it’s probably because there hasn’t been a TV show based in a bar in the past fifteen years that hasn’t tried to rip off that show. Although it stayed afloat for three years, lasting longer than most, the taps ran dry in ’95. However, two of the show’s stars have been so kind as to skintillate us with their womanly endowments. Star Susan Dey took it all off in Looker and gave us an even better view of her firm young Doo-Dahs in First Love. She later went on to be manhandled when she played a whore in Echo Park. Meanwhile Annie Potts, the sexy little redheaded southern peach, gave us a nice shot of her Potts pies clad in a see-through black bra in Who’s Harry Crumb.
