Life Is a Long Quiet River (1988)

In Life is a Long Quiet River, we follow two VERY different families whose lives intersect in a seemingly interesting way, when one of the youngest children in each family is switched at birth.  The movie drops us in 12 years after the old hospital switcheroo takes place and the mistake is uncovered and presented to each family.  For the wealthier and seemingly affluent clan, the children are like any really rich kids, quiet and well behaved so as to not upset the patriarch and matriarch of the household and to learn proper manners, at the risk of being cold to one another.  In the other family, well they don't have a pot to piss in but what they don't have in pocket, they make up for it in rambunctious love for one another.  The poor children are rowdy and wild while the wealthy kids are perfect little angels on the surface.  So when they both start to figure out whether or not to switch back, both families lives are thrown into upheaval.  This is an 80s French classic and it wouldn't be a French indie flick without a little bit of Skin for your viewing pleasure and we get to see the busty blonde, Claire Prévost, in a cleavage accentuating bikini top while laying out.  We also get to see the gorgeous and mature matriarch of one of the clans, Hélène Vincent drying off, fully naked in the bathtub while one of the kids spies on her.  Life might be a Long Quiet River, but those beautiful bodies on these ladies sure do speak volumes!
