For the lovely Laura Carmichael, it was the very first acting gig she got that propelled her into some serious surprise stardom! Laura was born in Southampton, England in 1986 and is probably most recognized around the world from the hit series Downton Abbey, which she took on the leading role of Lady Edith Crawley back in 2010 when the series premiered and she became a household name, at least in the UK, overnight. This beautiful blonde beauty was setup to jump into some serious work and while there was sun, she certainly made hay over the next few years. She took on a role in the Academy Award nominated cold war spy thriller Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy (2011) for her next project and followed that up with Madame Bovary (2015).
