This award-winning Japanese actress started out as a model for teen magazines in the early 2000s while embarking on an acting career that kicked off with her television debut on the series Itoshi Kimi e in 2004. Kaho’s first appearance on the big screen was in 2005’s Gamera The Brave and from that point she’d bounce from tv to movies, racking up acclaimed roles like Solo Mikita in A Gentle Breeze in the Village (2007), Chika Kōda in Our Little Sister (2015), and Sunada in Blue Hour (2019). Her numerous television roles would eventually lead her to her most skintimate screen exhibition in the Netflix series First Love, about a young couple’s rekindled romance after their lives take different paths. She plays Tsunemi, the new fiancé of the main character Harumichi Namiki, who he meets as he deals with PTSD after serving in Iraq.
