German actress Joanna Kitzl was born into a family deeply embedded in the performing arts. Her dad was an actor, her mom a dancer, and her sister an opera singer. During high school, Joanna spent a year studying abroad in London. When she returned home, she knew she wanted to study acting so she enrolled in the Hamburg University of Music and Drama which led to her landing parts in a variety of plays.
