Jane

The British BBC-production Jane was initially broadcast in two seasons of ten episodes each from August 1982 to September 1984. Shot against comic strip backgrounds, it starred an acclaimed British ensemble cast led by Robin Bailey, Max Wall, and Suzanne Danielle, as well as the South African actress Glynis Barber in the title role. The story focused on the adventures of the Daily Mirror’s scantily clad wartime heroine, whose most notable characteristic was a tendency to lose most of her clothes for complicated reasons... As for nudity, despite its highly intriguing premise, the content of this show was disappointingly tame by present-day standards.
