J.J. Starbuck

J.J. Starbuck was only one of the many failed mid-80’s attempts to ape popular adventure series like MacGyver or The A-Team. Shot in Vancouver, Canada, it centered on billionaire J.J. Starbuck (Dale Robertson), a tycoon whose life consisted of driving through America in a Lincoln convertible and posing as a private eye. What made J.J. special was his charming personality and the fact that he never charged his clients anything for solving the crime. Now that’s a generous guy! Based on this highly unoriginal premise, J.J. Starbuck got what he deserved and disappeared off TV screens rather quickly. Sometimes showbiz can be very fair…  Nudity Report: None. Supporting actress Shawn Weatherly (who went on to become the firstBaywatch member with a non-surgically enhanced rack) showed some skin in two other flicks.
