I Smile Back (2015)

They say there’s a thin line between comedy and tragedy, and that seems to be true when it comes to Sarah Silverman. For years, the stand-up performer tried to make fans laugh with small screen stints on NBC’s Saturday Night Live (1993-1994) and Comedy Central’s The Sarah Silverman Program (2007-2010) as well as bits in the amusing movies School of Rock (2003), Wreck-It Ralph (2012), and A Million Ways to Die in the West (2014). Yet all that changed when Sarah became super serious in the indie flick I Smile Back (2015). Here, the busty brunette plays Laney, a married mother of two with a pair of pokies and a number of dependence issues. Not only is she addicted to drugs, the chick’s a sex addict! Needless to say, these afflictions are driving a wedge between her and her family. When she seems to be at rock bottom, her husband (Josh Charles) gives her an ultimatum: “Shape up or ship out!” But beating the monkey on your back isn’t as easy (or as fun) as beating your monkey. Nevertheless, Ms. Silverman goes for broke in this intense film, baring her breasts just four minutes in! Yes, the topless hottie does a line of coke and then examines her boobs for some time. Maybe that’s why she nabbed a SAG Award nomination. We also get to watch Sarah’s character masturbating with her daughter’s Teddy bear. The next smile we’d like to see from the I Smile Back star is of the vertical variety!
