Friday starts the weekend. Sunday has professional football. But our favorite day is the ravishing redhead whose bouncing bosoms and perilously pasty body has had nerds even more glued to their computers than usual for nearly two decades, Felicia Day. Born in Alabama, this crimson haired cutie was so intelligent she started college at age sixteen, then headed to Los Angeles after graduation to pursue a career in acting. She got her start on Emeril, the Emeril Lagasse sitcom that really was a thing, before kicking it up a notch in 2003 as Vi, one of the "potential slayers" on eight episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Felicia was a shy and awkward vampire hunter on the beloved Joss Whedon hit, but really slayed us in a cheerleading skirt in Bring It On Again (2004). But with all that braininess, Felicia was never going to stick to shaking her pom-poms, so it wasn't surprising that she created her own series, the gamer-centric comedy The Guild which aired on Youtube. The show was a big hit, even if it wasn't the kind of Felicia content gamers were looking for when they searched her name. Next, she kept working online in the gaming world, creating the video game based webseries Dragon Age: Redemption. While scores of gamers watched Felicia's content online, in 2011 she headed to cable by landing the role of Dr. Holly Marten on Eureka. She played a lesbian computer hacker turned demon hunter in Supernatural, appeared in the rom-com Lust For Love (2014), and starred as Poppy Kline, an Australian dragon scientist who has sex with Quentin Coldwater on The Magicians. You'll need some cold water to try and contain yourself seeing her straddle the young conjurer in a black bra, and aggressively declaring that she will bang him to bring magic back. Most recently she's been voicing Mary Jane Watson on Disney XD's Spider-Man. Even though it's just a voiceover, of course they hired a smokin actress like Felicia to play Mary Jane. Whenever we get to see the whole shebang from Felicia, it will be a great day!
