Every Year After (2026)

A new YA series based on the same-named novel by Carley Fortune, this Amazon drama centers on young horror-loving teen Persephone “Percy” Fraser (Sadie Soverall) as she spends her summers at her family’s cottage in the quaint Canadian town of Barry’s Bay. There she becomes friends with next-door neighbors Charlie (Michael Bradway) and Sam (Matt Coret), and her close relationship with Sam eventually evolves into romance. At the same time, we’re taken to the future, when an older Percy returns to Barry’s Bay after a ten-year absence to attend the funeral of Sam and Charlie’s mom. Concurrently, we watch Sam and Percy’s love bloom, then proceed to fall apart as we also see them have to awkwardly face each other years later. But summers at the lake mean one thing - bikinis! Sadie makes her nudecomer debut here by donning a sexy swimsuit and stripping down to her skivvies for a swim. Also having fun in the sun are Aurora Perrineau and Abigail F. Cowen while hanging with big brother Charlie. But it’s Abigail who has a standout sapphic moment swapping spit with an unnamed lady at a party. Now that’s a moment we’ll be thinking about every year after!
