Trans actress, writer, director, and advocate Dana Aliya Levinson was born with a love of performing that has given them the opportunity to ply their trade all over the world! Opportunities for trans performers were few and far between on screen for most of Dana's life, which led them to starting out on stage where the possibilities were much more limitless. From very personal one-person shows to more mainstream fare that shone a light on the plight of trans people the world over, Dana has been at the forefront of creating space in the performance world for more trans voices. There's nothing quite like film and television to really put these issues front and center, and Dana has embraced the medium's possibilities in the last several years. Following their screen debut in the 2018 short film The Dress You Have On, Dana went on to play more featured roles in films like Adam (2019), as well as a one-off role on the Emmy winning series The Good Fight that same year! Dana's next adventure found them playing the title role and directing the short film Dear Aunt Noa (2020), before heading back to the boob tube the following year where they made their nude debut in a third season episode of American Gods!
