In Italian, Cara Buono’s name can loosely be translated into “dear good” which is a fitting translation since her soft-chocolate brown eyes are dear and her sensual body is good! Shy but eager, aroused but anxious, Cara is the kind of actress who can portray the delicate balance of emotions and urges that make audience’s members stand up! She kicked off her film career by showing off her acting skills (and bare breasts) in Waterland (1992) opposite Ethan Hawke and Jeremy Irons. After nabbing parts in the sports drama Gladiator (1992) and the indie comedy Kicking and Screaming (1995), Buono moved to the boob-tube where she enjoyed guest spots on Law & Order (1996, 1998, 2002) and recurring roles on I’ll Fly Away (1992) and Third Watch (2004-2005). Soon after, Cara was cast as Kelli Moltisanti on HBO’s hit The Sopranos (2006-2007). You know there’d be some whacking once she exposed her right breast on the mobster show! The busy babe also played Dr. Faye Miller on the AMC drama Mad Men (2010), for which she was nominated for a Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Guest Actress. After thrilling fans in the thriller A Good Marriage (2014), Cara brought her super curves to the CBS series Supergirl (2019). Most recently, she can be seen heating up the small screen as Karen Wheeler in Stranger Things (2016-present), for which she was nominated for two SAG (Screen Actors Guild) Awards. Yet it’s safe to say we don’t associate the word sag with buoyant Buono!
