C.P.O. Sharkey

Short-lived yet fondly remembered cult favorite sees everyone’s favorite insult slinger (Don Rickles) as a sarcastic and crusty Naval petty officer. Sort of like a more ill-tempered version of the banal Sgt. Bilko, this one featured Rickles at his most joyously boisterous and a generally fast-paced style of humor. Not too likely you’ll find it on late-night TV any longer, though an eventual DVD release isn’t entirely out of the question.
