Bustin' Loose

In 1981, Richard Pryor made some coin in Bustin’ Loose, a feature film about a con-man who has to do a little time helping out the kids. It was basically The Mighty Ducks, The Bad News Bears, and Hardball, except not in a sporting situation – you know the formula. So a handful of years later the wonderfully super intelligent minds of network TV decided they should get JJ Walker off the crack for a few weeks and see if they couldn’t get some old Good Times fans to watch a new series based on the old film. The experiment was not a resounding success. Big shock.
