Nicknamed after the Star Wars Episode One character Jar Jar Binks, Leona Anastasia Walton first strutted her stuff on the catwalk in 2013 for Marc Jacobs and immediately followed that with a breakthrough appearance in the Céline spring/Summer show of 2014. Binx has been featured in ad campaigns for Chanel, Coach, and Dior, landed the covers of French Elle, Dazed, and Garage, as well as many international issues of Vogue, and was named an official fashion “Industry Icon” in 2019. In one Vogue article where she bemoaned the age of social media’s influence on modeling success, she was also quoted as saying she hoped modeling would “get weirder" and wanted "[the] freaks to start embracing themselves and creating more…” which is a fantastic segue into her appearance in Madonna’s super trippy Vanity Fair photo shoot and subsequent short film titled Enlightenment. Binx can be seen at the pop icon’s left hand during a Last Supper-esque setup, but more importantly, so can one of her picture perfect nips! Looks like our prayers have been answered!
