Baseball Wives

The drama was supposed to have been set in South Florida around the wives and girlfriends of the Miami Kings fictional Major League Baseball team. I say supposed to be because the network ordered eight episodes, then another seven, then reportedly cancelled the series before it’d even filmed an episode. A deal to rent a Florida stadium for a year had been agreed to, leading one city official to say "Based on the history of the producer and director, we anticipate this series to be conducted at the stadium for four to seven years. Even if it doesn't, maybe two to three years, that gives us two to three years where someone else is paying the bills out there." Guess again. And more’s the pity because the series, starring Julie Warner (Doc Hollywood), Michelle Grace and Myndy Cryst promised to be a fun time. But now, we’ll never know…
