She made her television debut at just fifteen on the Baywatch-esque series Água de Mar, and then went on to play recurring roles on four back-to-back Portuguese telenovelas starting in 2016: A Impostora, Jogo Duplo, Na Cords Bamba, and Bem Me Quer. In 2021, Bárbara landed her big screen breakthrough in the musical drama Bem Bom, but returned to television with the thriller series Santiago (2022) and the drama Flor Sem Tempo (2023). 2023 also saw her starring in the adaptation series of the 19th century novel O Crime do Padre Amaro as the buxom beauty who causes a young priest to break his vow of celibacy, played by her real life boyfriend José Condessa.
