Before Thobeka decided to fully pursue an acting career, she trained to be a beauty therapist at the Helia D International Health and Beauty College in Rustenburg, South Africa. But the silver screen was calling, and in 2020, Thobeka answered with her first role in the television movie Ho Kena. Four years later, she returned in front of the camera in the first installment of a series of Netflix rom-coms, Umjolo: The Gone Girl.
