Set on the last night before the closure of a beloved roller rink in the 1980s, The Toy Soldiers (2014) weaves a tale of interconnected lives and the loss of innocence. Running nearly two and a half hours, the film takes an epic look at some rather intimate situations from an alcoholic mother attempting to regain custody of her children to a closeted young man trying desperately to make a real connection with another person, the film juxtaposes the happy go lucky feeling in the air during the 1980s with the grim situations in which many people found themselves. Thankfully it's not all doom and gloom as Brenda Pond drops by to go topless and let a dude snort coke off her bare breasts, while Najarra Townsend strips down to her bra for a sex scene!
