The Fun Factory

No Nudity

Review

A bizarre and all-but-forgotten amalgam of crazy comedy shtick and goofy game-show shenanigans, The Fun Factory came (and went) in 1976, logging only seventy-five episodes. The boisterous mid-'70s kitsch-fest was partially enlivened by the presence of two funny females; both Betty Thomas and Rhonda Bates did their best to tantalize the crowds but were overshadowed by a male-heavy panel that included the likes of Buddy Douglas, Marty Barris, and Doug Steckler. Hey, fellas, if you’re aiming for a true “fun factory”, why not invite a few more women to play?
