The Favor (1994)

Before the screenwriting team of Sara Parriott and Josann McGibbon hit it big with the runaway rom-com Runaway Bride (1999), they typed up the box office flop The Favor (1994). Despite its R rating, the presumably racy romp only favors fans with a bit of flesh. The romantic comedy follows Kathy Whiting (Harley Jane Kozak), a young woman who has everything: a husband (Bill Pullman) as well as nagging doubts about the one who got away. To stop wondering whether she should have stayed with her old boyfriend Tom (Ken Wahl), Kathy asks her friend Emily (Elizabeth McGovern) for a favor. We’re talking a major favor! Kathy thinks if Emily sleeps with Tom (and reports back that he’s bad in the sack), this will cure her longing for his dong. Oddly enough, Emily agrees to this — despite the fact that she is currently dating Elliot (Brad Pitt)! Needless to say, these women are true BBFFs — Best Friends For Favors! After Emily accomplishes the coupling courtesy, she tells Kathy that Tom is great in bed. As a result, their friendship suffers and things get even more complicated when Emily learns she’s pregnant and doesn’t know who the father is! No wonder they say, “no good deed goes unpunished.” At least, the movie includes views of Ms. Kozak donning a red corset. After teasing us in a white lace camisole, Ms. McGovern gives us a peek at her side boob. Do us a favor, Elizabeth, and kindly bare both of your breasts!
