Unlikely Angel (1996)

Dolly Parton is an angel already, so casting her as an Unlikely Angel doesn't seem to be much of a stretch!  The incomparably gorgeous and all-time great country singer plays, believe it or not, a country music star who dies suddenly and is tasked by St. Peter to do one more good deed back in earth before he lets her through the pearly gates!  The task might seem simple enough but proves to be a doozy for Dolly, as she has to get a down and out and workaholic widowed man to spend Christmas with his kids!  This Christmas classic was a made-for-TV flick from 1996 and debuted on CBS that December and Dolly is a big enough draw that it has now become a Christmas classic to many. Almost needless to say, Dolly being Dolly, showing off her amazing gifts to man in a series of low-cut and cleavage accentuating dresses, she'll make you unwrap your present early and play "little drummer boy" going parump-pa-pa-pump on your candy cane...  It's a Christmas miracle that they were able to crowbar in so many outfit changes for Dolly in a made for TV movie!!!
