Our Staff Picks column takes you back to a time when video stores reigned supreme and the "Staff Picks" section was the place to find out what films were worthy of one's time. Of course, our version of Staff Picks has a decidedly skintillating angle, as we suss out which films from a certain genre with great nudity. This week: it's foreign films from 2021.
2021 was an odd year for films as so many American movies had to stop production because of the pandemic. However, I noticed that some foreign countries were pumping out great films. Not only that, but these movies had GREAT nudity. Seriously, these are some of the hottest nude scenes that we have ever seen. Today's Staff Picks are the hottest foreign films from 2021.
Kriya
This Indian-British co-production is a wild one! Since Indian movies don't often feature nudity, it was very exciting to see Kriya present a full-frontal nude scene from its star. Navjot Randhawa stars as a woman who meets a DJ at a club and invites him back home for a hookup. However, she had ulterior motives. She needed a man to oversee the death ritual of her father according to her family's traditions. So...the DJ will do it!
In order to really convince him, she takes off her clothes. That's a really good way to convince someone to help your father go into the afterlife and then realize that there is a curse on the family and now you are cursed to...right, guys? Actually, I think this guy should have gotten the hell out of there, but then we wouldn't have had a movie.
Ride or Die
Japanese lesbians on the run, anyone? That's what Ride or Die provided in 2021. This Netflix thriller from director Ryuichi Hiroki tells the story of two women having an illicit affair. One of the women is married to a man and an abusive one at that. She convinces her female lover to help her kill him! Her lover is madly in love with her, so she agrees to do anything. Uh oh!
After they murder him, they go on the run and their relationship is really tested. Can their love endure getting away with murder? You will have to watch the film to find out, but I can tell you that they have a lot of sex. So murdering didn't seem to hamper their sex drives one bit! Kiko Mizuhara and Honami Sato have three sexy nude scenes together, just like this one:
All My Friends Are Dead
This Polish Netflix original kicked off 2021 with a wild sex comedy that takes place at a house party where college co-eds are getting drunk and taking off their clothes. It's nice to see that that happens all over the world! We saw truly impressive mams from Magdalena Perlinska whose perky pair with perfectly symmetrical nipples pleased poles around the world.
The Salt of Tears
This French-Swiss film is in black-and-white, so you know that it is going to bring us some drama. Tears are in the title, so that's not a big surprise. A young man from a small town moves to Paris and he almost immediately gets lost while going on a walk. A very kind woman helps him and he becomes obsessed with tracking her down and finding her again.
You'd think that would be the whole film, but he weirdly goes back to his small town for a minute and has an affair there. Then he gets a job back in the city and has another affair there, too. It's France, so that's par-for-the-course. Both Louise Chevillotte and Souhelia Yacoub have full frontal nude scenes as his skintastic lovers.
Jumbo
2021 was a year of French films showcasing a hot woman's love for a machine. Both Jumbo and Titane were released this year and I have to admit that I'm partial to Jumbo in terms of hotter nude scenes. Titane is great, but Jumbo stars Noemie Merlant who falls in love with a carnival ride.
More the Merrier
More the Merrier is a Spanish comedy that will leave you laughing as you also get super horny. Paco Caballero directed this film about five people in Barcelona looking to juggle love, lust, and more. Some married couples as well as singles and exes all decide to swap partners.
It's a mess, but it's a sexy mess. We see all kinds of things: underwear pool parties, topless hookups, bottomless scenes, fantasies, and bondage. Hey, the more the merrier!
Benedetta
Benedetta is likely the absolute hottest film of the year and it squeaked in just at the end. This Dutch film by director Paul Verhoeven tells the true story of an Italian nun in the 1600s who starts a scandal in the church for two reasons: she has religious visions that are really intense AND she is having a lesbian relationship with another nude.
She says that her visions are both religious...and erotic. That is obviously dangerous for the church! It's clear to me she is just having fantasies about her lover, but I'm not a 1600s religious cleric. There is a lot of drama, but it is met with A LOT of spicy lesbian scenes and babes going nude.
