Shameless (2004)

While Americans might be more familiar with Showtime's Chicago set remake that ran from 2011-2021, the Yanks might not even realize that the Gallagher family originated in England when the British comedic drama Shameless debuted in 2004. Lasting until 2013, the show followed the exploits of Frank Gallagher (David Threlfall), a frequently drunk and jobless resident of Manchester’s Chatsworth Estates public housing projects whose kids have learned to get by despite his lack of parenting. Frank’s daughter Fiona (Anne-Marie Duff) has taken on the role of mother to her teenage brothers Lip (Jody Latham) and Ian (Gerard Kearns), who is a closeted homosexual. The show largely revolved around the family trying to stick together while surviving financial hardships, usually using the most over-the-top trashy methods they can come up with. We can't speak to the Turkish or Russian versions of the show, but some of the bigger differences include the UK version having a lesser budget, way more Eastern Europeans popping up in the British version, and best of all, the overseas original actually being even more graphic! For example, Rebecca Atkinson plays Lip’s friend Karen, who shows off her top tier tits to Frank in the bathtub, before seducing him via the classic bend over to change the channel, oops can you see up my skirt now, move. No shame in her game! Sarah Byrne also goes topless, Anne-Marie Duff shows her top stuff but no muff while getting railed in the kitchen, and Joanna Higson goes shirtless while posing for an art class. Maxine Peake flashes her perky peaks while jiggling those jugs for a webcam, while Annabelle Apsion also unveils her mama meat with a shirtless shot! But we really liked Maggie O'Neill as a super MILFy dominatrix, abusing Frank in just a bra and panties in a scene filmed like a POV porno! Since Shameless showed so many Brits with great tits wearing less than bras, the real shame is that we didn't get more seasons of it!
