This non-binary beauty is the child of Gina Riley, the Kim in Kath & Kim, a popular Australian sitcom, and executive producer Rick McKenna, so starting a career in show business isn’t surprise. But not wanting their famous lineage to be the reason for their success, Max decided to study at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in Los Angeles and work in theatre and they would do just that - appearing in musicals such as Muriel’s Wedding, Jagged Little Pill - The Musical, and as Zoe Murphy in the US Tour cast of Dear Evan Hansen. Then 2023 brought Max back the family business, television. In addition to their role in the television holiday movie Jones Family Christmas, Max nabbed a lead in the SBS period series While the Men are Away. It’s a World War II set drama about the spiritual and sexual awakenings of a group of women working on an apple orchard. Max goes topless twice, once while lapping up Michela De Rossi’s clam, and also while taking a candlelit bath. How do ya like them apples? (Spoiler alert - we love ‘em!)
