After studying Fine and Studio Arts at the University of South Carolina-Columbia, Kim Merritt set her sights on having an acting career. She homed her craft, playing Ophelia in Hamlet and Agnes in Agnes of God on stage. The pretty performer made her big screen debut in the romantic crime drama The Yards (2000) featuring Mark Wahlberg, James Caan, and Oscar winners: Joaquin Phoenix, Charlize Theron, Ellen Burstyn and Faye Dunaway. Talk about being in great company! The next big thing for the appealing ingenue was precisely that—The Next Big Thing (2001). The romantic comedy centers on a painter (Chris Eigeman) struggling for success in the Big Apple. Yet it’s Kim’s big apples that steal the show! As a nude model for a drawing class, Ms. Merritt’s merits are on full display. Even though the students’ easels hide her bush, we can clearly see her au naturale naturals! It’s a wonder the students can keep their pencils in their pants. Since then, Kim switched gears—focusing more on the action behind the camera. She served as a production assistant on the Spectrum Sports series Game Changers (2013) before changing her name to Kimberly K. Merritt. With her reinvention, the busy babe has been a talent manager for Serendipity Entertainment and currently works at Katoka Productions, Inc. as an artistic director and producer. The brainy beauty also finds time to perform in regional theater. In 2020, a live version of Murder on the Nile featured the dead sexy brunette!
