Kellie Overbey got her big break back in 1987 when she won a guest spot on the hit sitcom Newhart. The part, although a bit small, led to several more guest appearances on such shows as L.A. Law, Kate & Allie and Growing Pains before she made the move to more theatrical pursuits with her Silver Screen debut in 1989’s Misplaced. Kellie also happens to be the only person to have appeared in both The Stand miniseries and Outbreak, both productions having to do with the onslaught of an unstoppable killer virus. We’re all quite relieved to see that Kellie survived…Although Kellie was rather sexy in The Stand, which featured her in a pretty sultry lingerie getup for the better part of her time on screen, the part paled in comparison to her earlier role in 1991’s Defenseless. As far as we can tell, the film should have been called Topless, seeing as that’s how Kellie appears in several beachside scenes. It’s definitely a nice set, so be sure to see it.
