Tall, dark, sensual. Those are words that describe London-born actress Jameela Jamil. But the Brit of Indian and Pakistani descent went through some tough times as a kid, including being born with hearing issues and getting hit by a car at age 17. Luckily, Jameela had surgery to repair her hearing as a child, and endured a couple of surgeries to repair her spine after the accident. With better hearing and a beautiful, fully functional body, Jameela began her career as a DJ and radio personality who interviewed famous musicians. Jameela deserved the spotlight, however, and quickly got it when she began modelling and hosting television shows across the pond. She hosted Freshly Squeezed on UK television, which had London boys pulling down their pants and giving their squeegee a squeeze, then hosted the overseas version of the highly questionable 2004 reality show Playing it Straight. That show was a dating competition where a woman tried to figure out which men she was dating were gay. Hint, it was the ones not hitting on the insanely hot host! After becoming the first female presenter of BBC Radio's Chart Show, Jameela moved to the USA looking to become a screenwriter. Instead, her agent asked her to audition for a television role looking for a British beauty, and with no acting credits she landed the role of unattainable good girl Tahani Al-Jamil on The Good Place. The namedropping character refuses to drop anything else on the show, so we don't get to see much of her heavenly body. But occasionally, a little bit of her cleavage clouds will jiggle in a tight sundress. Amen! Making her big screen debut, Jameela played legendary Egyptian enchantress Cleopatra in How to Build a Girl (2019), but these days she can most often be found returning to her hosting roots on the pain scale game show The Misery Index.
