How I Live Now (2013)

An apocalyptic nuclear war is the backdrop for the romantic thriller How I Live Now (2013), not to be confused with the Bill Hayes book “How We Live Now: Scenes from the Pandemic” (2020). The R rated flick is based on Meg Rosoff’s same-named novel. The story begins in New York, where a moody teen named Daisy (Saoirse Ronan) is sent to stay in the English countryside with her Aunt Penn (Anna Chancellor) and cousins Edmond (George MacKay), Isaac (Tom Holland) and Piper (Harley Bird). At first, Daisy isn’t too happy to be with her extended family, but eventually the hottie warms up to her eldest and most handsome cousin Eddie (MacKay). Alas, their sweet summer romance suddenly turns sour when an unspecified enemy drops a bomb on London, killing masses of people and ultimately kicking off World War III. Daisy is offered safe passage back to the United States, but remains due to her love for her cousin. Apparently, the family that lays together, stays together. Under the direction of Kevin Macdonald, the movie includes Corey Johnson, Danny McEvoy, Darren Morfitt, Des McAleer, Jonathan Rugman, Stella Gonet, and the fab figure on Laura Harold. As Ms. Ronan’s body double, Ms. Harold flashes her flesh in the forest. Thanks to the magic of Skinvision, we can see Laura’s bare breasts during a dream sequence. If that’s not arousing enough, the svelte stunner also exposes her butt. Although things look bleak for the characters on screen, Mr. Skin can enjoy a happy ending!
