While it’s always great to see John Ritter getting a new series, this odd entry doesn’t rank among his best attempts. First off, he’s tough to buy as a cop. Also, this one’s coated with that late-80’s ‘sensitive guy’ vibe that doesn’t hold up too well these days. As the cop-turned-landlord, Ritter is a cool as ever but the show as a whole proves unsatisfying.
