God, the Devil and Bob

An amiable animated NBC experiment from 2000 that lasted a mere thirteen episodes, God, the Devil and Bob dusted off the age-old concept of “one guy proves that humanity is pretty darn cool after all”--you know, the same one that was used in the John Travolta/Olivia Newton-John turkey Two of a Kind (1983)--and actually parlayed it into a clever little cartoon comedy. With a devil voiced by Alan Cumming and James Garner as the voice of the Almighty, the guys were quite well represented, but it was the vivacious vocal stylings of lovely Laurie Metcalf and naughty Nancy Cartwright that kept us listening with both ears --and both hands!
