Things are looking up on DVD and Blu-ray, as this year's Anatomy Award Winner for Best TV Series, Game of Boners- oh, sorry, Game of Thrones- hits DVD and Blu-ray. But that's not the only example of outstanding skinema on Blu-ray this week: Striptease (1996) and 9 1/2 Weeks (1986) are both getting the HD treatment, as is the director's cut of Reindeer Games (2000), featuring a nude Charlize Theron.
Plus, Nudity Hall-of-Famer Elena Anaya deftly straddles the line between creepy and sexy (among other things) in the arthouse horror flick The Skin I Live In (2011), nude on DVD and Blu-ray:
Based on fantasy novels by George R.R. Martin and described as "The Sopranos in Middle Earth," HBO's epic series Game of Thrones chronicles the struggle for power in a medieval world divided into realms of summer and winter. Fortunately, naked maidens and mystical, magical sex abound at every turn. As alluring young enchantress Daenerys Targaryen, icy beauty Emilia Clark radiates blonde heat while displaying pink skin. She’s also joined by naked notables along the line of ever-lusty Lena Headey and buxom Esme Bianco. So unsheathe your broadswords, noble lords, because this is one Game you can play with yourself.
The bizarre film Striptease (1996) was constantly doctored on its way to the multiplexes, with the filmmakers never being sure if they were making a comedy or a drama. Demi Moore had some doctoring, 
too, but guys weren’t complaining once they saw her as a divorced mom who has to strip for a living. She’s trying to get back custody of her daughter and gets the chance to make a powerful friend once loony Congressman Burt Reynolds develops a fixation on her. Demi gives a fine performance, but her fine bod gets some competition from co-stars Daphne Duplaix, Pandora Peaks, Rena Riffel, Dina Spybey, and Barbara Alyn Woods.
Before Mickey Rourke decided to use his face for a speed bag, he was known for erotic think pieces like 9 1/2 Weeks (1986). Kim Basinger took on bigger roles after this star-making vehicle, but as hard as fans of her fabulous funbaggage in this film have hoped, she never again reached this level of nonstop erotic overkill. During the period mentioned in the title, Mickey exposes Kim to one new level of sensual boundary-breaking after another, from cross-dressing to sadomasochism to voyeurism to an attempted threesome. Sounds like an okay way to spend two months and change to Mr. Skinwith Kim Basinger anyway.
Going to prison is a no-win proposition, and being released from the clink is no better. Not if you’re criminal mastermind Ben Affleck and a gang of spectacularly mean and violent dumbo crooks wants to pick your brain to plan and execute the robbery of a down-in-the-dumps casino. Directed by master of suspense and underworld excess John Frankenheimer,Reindeer Games (2000) has more double crosses and plot twists than a gay bar has Hershey's Kisses. Look for ghastly, ghoulish and campy performances, outrageous plot resolutions and the stunning stride of model-turned-world-class-seductress Charlize Theron.
Flamboyant Spanish director Pedro Almodovar tries his hand at horror in The Skin I Live In (2011). Elena Anaya stars in this twisted tale of sex, revenge, and gender-reassignment surgery as Vera, the frequently nude, frequently operated upon captive of demented plastic surgeon Robert Ledgard (Antonio Banderas). Skin veteran Elena bares boobs in six scenes on the operating table, in bed with Antonio, and even being attacked by a freaky tiger-man. As a bonus, we get an excellent view of her round rump when Antonio comes to save her from the striped weirdo. The skin I live in just grew about 6 inches!
